if Taylor Misuna beat bass in states at 152lb, why would jack be on the list? any votes for him should go to taylor. bass placed 2nd also wisman placed second in the states.

Misuna and JD Gregory should be on the list.
Just an oversight.

Every kid on the list is an excellent wrestler. If I were a coach I'd be ecstatic to have any of them leading my team. But my vote goes to Wisman. He's done a lot (AA at Fargo, state finals as a soph) and still has two years of HS left. He's done it against bigger kids as a youngster. Allen has been a beast since elementary school and I give him my runner-up vote. He's been able to maintain success at a high level as he's grown into the bigger weights. Richards is awesome on his feet, but needs to improve on the mat.

Guess 666 is all wrong. 1) Giving pound for pound for va wrestler to wisman. He never won the states. Saying he wrestle bigger. He is wrestling guys in his weight class, Just like the lighter kids. a hundred pound kid lifting a hundred pound kid is the same as a 170 pound kid lifting a 170 pound kid. They are lifting and wrestling there weight. This is pound for pound, not heaviest guy is better cause he has more pounds on him. 2) Allen number 2 and Richards 3 pound for pound. They wrestle twice. Allen won the first one by 1 point. The second time was the states. POUND FOR POUND RIGHT. What happen? Richards tech allen to win a second state championship. 3) Richards is also 100 win and 3 losses. Pretty good for a wrestle who needs to improve on the mat. You must have never seen him mat wrestle. I guess you are assuming. We know what happens when people assume. BTW. What are the other two records? How many state championships have they won.

too guess 666 must like to stir the pot. All of the aforementioned wrestlers are great talents with different strong points. As for state championshhips in VA well...who really cares? As for Allen and Richards the record is 1-1 with Allen handing Richards one of his three career loses no matter what the score was of either match. And by the way we have all seen Richards mat wrestle and we all know that is not his strong suit but yet he is almost unstoppable at his game on his feet. By the way it was a late takedown for Allen over Richards at Hopewell for the win while Allen rode Richards out on the mat. State finals, well Richards was on a mission and did what he does best from his feet and took Allen to his back for 5 more than once. I will say Allen wrestled for the win in trying to throw Richards to his back until the final buzzer. The other two well, they are Fargo All Americans in freestyle...not bad considering they aren't good enough in your eyes to win a VA state championship! Your opinion probably really doesn't mean anything to any of the above wrestlers, including Richards, so you keep stirring the pot while they keep working and getting better! too guess 666 should be #1...in the world!...at talking!!!

Lets take a look at states, who they wrestled
2013 Wisman 2nd place AA as a 10th grader—pinned cody amos (9th grade), 1-0 win against Judah Bruce (11th grade), 7-2 win against hunter day, and lost to Christopher Tyree 7-3 (12th grade).. that he wrestles heavy does not hold water. He wrestled a 9th grader, 11th grader and lost to a senior.
2012 wisman placed 2nd as a freshman at 138pounds- beat carter page 11-5 (10th grader), beat zac hall 2-0 (12th grade), beat Austin fuller 9-4 (12th grade), lost to dallas smith 6-4 (11th grade)
Now common opponents.
CARTER PAGE,
wisman beat him 11-5,
Richards tech fall or pin
Allen pinned him.
DALLAS SMITH
Allen Beat him in the states,
Richards won the states.
Smith placed 4th in AAA states and 1st in AA states beating wisman.
What criteria is guess 666 basing on that makes him or her think wisman is the best pound for pound.
Hopefully not on the fact that he is bigger than the others, but then he would have to say pinkston is the best. He finshed 2nd his freshman year at hwt, 2nd his sophomore year at hwt, and 1st his junior year.
IF ANYBODY IS POUND FOR POUND THE BEST, COY OZIAS IS. JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE BIG, DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE WRESTLING QUALITY GUYS.

If I could vote pound 4 pound, It would have to be Richards.
He beat two wrestlers on last year’s pound 4 pound (Atkinson and Wert). He also beat two wrestlers on this year’s pound for pound. I think he beat timok twice last year. He split with allen. Richards won the region where Allen took 3rd. He then he won the state’s. Also Richards and Allen have indirect wins over Wisman. Wisman lost to Dallas, Allen beat Dallas, Richards won that weight class.

Bass destroyed Richards this summer at VA Freestyle states...all class not 6 divisions. Yes he lost to Misuna in one match but he is a National Champion so that overrides a state championship in my opinion. Bass beaten many nationally ranked kids including Penn State recruit Bo Nickal who is a pound for pound national ranked kid. Bass is also a 3x state runner up and Fargo runner up. FILA cadet national Champ. Beast placer as a freshman. Not sure anyone on that list has those credentials. I would put him up against anyone on that list for pund for pound best in any class in VA.

Vote for him. I noticed you did not register a vote. He is certainly a national powerhouse, will he be at 160 or 152 this year?

I agree that Bass has to be ranked in the top two or three. So he lost to Misuna at states, it's wrestling you can't win them all. Bass lost on a last "nano" second move by Misuna. Don't get me wrong Misuna is an awesome wrestler....he is a natural gifted athlete that can probably be good at any athletic sport he wanted to participate in. Bass is even better this year, he has a strong set of people behind him. The question is has Misuna improved? For his sake hopefully he has got some quality coaching outside of his own HS wrestling room. His own head coach has proven that he is not capable of developing a competitive wrestling program. Misuna is the wrestler he is for his own gifted talent in my opinion. We all know, in the sport of wrestling steel sharpens steel and you must continue to improve your game but growth in the sport of wrestling is not capable when there is an absence of leadership, passion and dedication by the staff running the practices. I hope we get a chance to see another Bass/Misuna match up this year....my money is on Bass. I doubt that will happen because they will probably be in different wt. classes. I agree with Robinson Fan, Bass has what it takes.
