Well that depends, what were your expectations? This is a brutal tournament and VA did leave with 2 AAs.

Good point with expectations. I think that Wisman wrestled like a man, and kudos to Grayson. Prata did not wrestle, or there may have been the potential for 3 AAs.
Corbin Allen destroyed Viruet, and got a tough draw in Shramm for the wrestlebacks. He looked good through the tournament. And Laprade won his fair share as well.
I think being a "top 20" in a tournament like this is huge. IMO there are a couple Virginia wrestlers right on the edge of that national list.

Well said Kelly. While the ultimate goal is to win or place, the big picture is the experience and competition at a national level. Here is where you learn to battle. It also is an opportunity to benchmark your development. Coaches want to see how well they handle the grind and respond to adversity. Lastly, this gives the competitors an opportunity to see what needs work as they head into the preseason workouts.
Everything has to be taken in perspective. Remember there have been kids who DNP at Fargo yet end up on the podium at the NCAAs because they progressed and improved.
