Can Manville compete in VHSL? He has had 4 years of varsity. 8th grade at Apple Valley(place in Minnesota States) then Freshman to Junior at Blair. Just a rumor but, I heard Hazard/Robinson HS has worked out a deal w/ Cael Sanderson for Mason Manville to wrestle a red shirt year at Robinson vice Penn state.

Speaking of Manville, David has two rising Bandits that should super charge the Robinson line up as freshman: Hayden Rockman and Thomas Mukai. Rockman has won several state titles and both boys have dominated at national events. Mukai I believe could win Va state title freshman year.

Not too mention Rockman could win a state title freshman year too but I think he's got tougher road to hoe at 145lbs/152lbs. Mukai at 220lbs I think will have less competition and easier time to the top of the podium at states.

I have watched Makai go up against high school kids at 220. This kid is a good wrestler, but he will not come close to winning a state title his freshman year at 220. He lost to a St. Chris kids who is middle of the pack at 220 at the VAWA Freestyle Duals.

Please don't take this as insulting either kid as they are both very good wrestlers but Rockman and Mukai aren't even the best eighth-graders in the state please don't compare them to the high school studs.
VAWA Kids Folkstyle States (03/07 - 03/07/2015) 13 & 14 - 144 (2nd) Champ. Round 1: Haydon Rockman (Bandits Wrestling) over Tyler Wells (Unionville) (Fall 1:25) Quarterfinal: Haydon Rockman (Bandits Wrestling) over Trey Passmore (Ranger Wrestling Club) (SV-1 7-3) Semifinal: Haydon Rockman (Bandits Wrestling) over Ty Kwak (VA Elite) (Dec 6-3) 1st Place Match: Andy Aldridge (Hanover Hawkeye) over Haydon Rockman (Bandits Wrestling) (Dec 4-3)
VAWA Freestyle High School Club Duals (05/16 - 05/16/2015) 220 - Carrington Lanier (St. Christopher`s Wrestling Club) over Thomas Mukai (Marauder Wrestling Club) Dec 5-2 220 - Thomas Mukai (Marauder Wrestling Club) over Unknown (Unattached) Forf 220 - Thomas Mukai (Marauder Wrestling Club) over Unknown (Unattached) Forf 220 - Charlie Belvin (VA Team Predator) over Thomas Mukai (Marauder Wrestling Club) TF 12-2 220 - Jonathan Birchmeier (Ashburn Wrestling Club) over Thomas Mukai (Marauder Wrestling Club) TF 12-2
So let's not be crazy putting eighth-graders on the list is questionable at best except at 106

Nova 6A - I want to make sure I read this correctly, you are predicting that two rising freshman will win 6A states??? Two guys that have lost matches to 8th graders, and are untested against the current field of 9-12 grader state champs and placers.
Can you please list the "National Events' that these kids "dominated"?
If they are middle school events with 4-16 competitors, don't bother, the "National HS Events" like NHSCA, Flo, and Super 32 have brackets of 50 to 150.
When these kids dominate at that level, I will give you more credit for your post, for now you have embarrassed your youth self, and have given me a good laugh.

Nova 6A - Do you consider a record of 3-5, dominating? Not to mention this is only a MS event, not HS. I know of this kid and he is a good kid, you really should think twice before posting something this absurd on a HS forum.
ACWA National Middle School Duals (02/06 - 02/08/2015) 145 - Brian Case (Junior Terps MS) over Haydon Rockman (Bandits) Maj 13-3 145 - Christian Blank (Team Ohio) over Haydon Rockman (Bandits) Dec 3-1 145 - Haydon Rockman (Bandits) over Anthony Ferraioli (Xtreme D) Fall 0:00 145 - Haydon Rockman (Bandits) over Unknown (Unattached) Forf 145 - Cameo Blankenship (Minion Black) over Haydon Rockman (Bandits) Dec 5-2 145 - AJ Lonski (Apex) over Haydon Rockman (Bandits) Dec 5-1 145 - Haydon Rockman (Bandits) over Zack Elowitch (Smitty`s Barn) Dec 3-0 145 - Santino Morina (Superkids) over Haydon Rockman (Bandits) Maj 10-2 145 - Haydon Rockman (Bandits) over Unknown (Unattached) Forf 145 - Haydon Rockman (Bandits) over Conner Boal (SJYWL Allstars) Fall 2:44 145 - Haydon Rockman (Bandits) over Unknown (Unattached) Forf

Dear Admin, I think you should consider ranking my son, number 1, at 145 or 152 for the following reasons:
1. He's only in 8th grade and weighs 120, but he dominates at national events. 2. He placed 4th at the pre-cawl tournament, but the only 2 kids that beat him are from Maryland, and if they beat my son they are both sure to be freshman state champions. 3. Back in February he dominated the field at the AWCA, which in case you didn't know, is a national event, so every kid there is a national level wrestler and destined to be a state champion, probably their freshman year in their state. Now at first glance on TrackWrestling you may think he didn't dominate, so let me explain, he went 6-5, and TW states that 3 of those wins are forfeits, buts that's not the case, they were actually against three international wrestlers brought in to challenge my son, nobody could spell their names correctly so win my son dominated them all, they just listed them as forfeit wins. The losses really weren't his fault as his coach was ejected from the tournament, something about his chair ending up in the middle of the mat after he argued a bad call. It was all bogus as his coach knows way more about wrestling than all the refs combined, anyway, he was coachless, so I was told those loses don't really count. 4. He lost in the finals at the MS state tournament , but that shouldn't count either because just before the match I yelled at him to stop playing MineCraft and he was very upset over that and didn't perform well. 5. Most recently he has dominated the field at the vawa state fs/gr, ne nationals, and se nationals. At first glance you might not think that's a big deal since he was the only wrestler in his weight class at the state tournament, and that there was only 1 other kid in his weight class at the ne and se regionals, however, his coach said kids heard he was competing and they got scared and withdrew from the tournament.
Thank-You for your consideration, my sons name is Mydads A. Idiot

A kid who went 0-1 at the state tourney last year... is he considered a state placer or no? I thought I saw some kids that were listed as "placers" who went 0-1 during states from past season?
