1. Colonial Forge - Just a ton of returning talent. Grayson, Nail, and Stone lead the way. 2. Robinson - Lost a lot, but still has a ton. Not quite enough to overtake Forge. Depasquale, Rockman, Riggs will be tough. 3. Hanover - Their big three, Gregory, C. Allen, and TJ Allen, are as good as any three in the state. 4. Fauquier - A ton of returning talent. Raines, Tingen, Ariola. 5. Christiansburg - Bolen, Lump, and the Giantonio brothers will lead the way. This group could easily be in the top two. B. Matoaca - Richards leads an always tough and gritty team. Gordon will be missed, but Wilmer and Helm will be there. B. Westfield - Lost Ryan, but get Knies back. They are always in the mix. B. Mountain View - Some placers coming back, including Beltran. B. Lake Braddock - Wiles and company will still be strong. B. Great Bridge - Enough returners to keep them in the hunt. B. St. Christopher's - Best in VISAA. Prata is a national talent. Lanier, Rudnick, Hale, and Carter are all threats. B. Liberty Christian - Good group of young wrestlers. Cantrell and Bruce are as good as anyone. B. Benedictine - Defending VISAA champs. Wayland, Dupont, Williams, Walker will be formidable. B. Skyline - Always strong.

I agree with you regarding Forge, IMO they are the team to beat this coming season. With regard to your comments about Westfield, they only lost Gabe Ryan from last years team. They still have 4 returning state placers; Justin Yorkdale (1st), Ryan Yorkdale (7th); Jonathan (Jay) Aiello (5th), and Enes Karaaslan (6th). Add back in Austin Knies, who was injured right before districts, and a couple of other kids who were a match away from qualifying for states last season and they become very competitive. I am not arguing the ranking, but they didn't loose as much as one might think.

I thought they lost more than that. Great point, and Knies back certainly bolsters their position. On thing to note, the teams on the bubble ('B') are in no definitive order.

Helms from MMaoaca is transferring to St. Chris. If so move St Chris up and Matoaca down one.

Needs to be confirmed. I have heard this is not true.

If that is true, once again Forge's commitment to excellence pays off.
I am just trying to figure out the weights...
Carter
Grayson
Winters
How do the Houston twins figure in?
Great programs and coaches attract great talent.

Anthony Carter at 170 Robert Winters at 182 Cameron Houston at 195 Patrick Grayson at 220
Caleb Houston has been out for a long time due to concussions, so maybe he will be a Team Manager.

Definitely a formidable line-up. If they are all healthy, I can't envision anyone in the state beating them. Grayson, Stone, Nail, Carter, Winters, Houston - that is tough.

Forge is also getting a transfer in upcoming Freshmen Stud Levi Englman who was zoned for Stafford HS. I also heard that Antonio Kibler who is zoned for Mountain View but transferred to Stafford HS is now transferring to Forge. Not sure where Kibler will fit in the mix because he has been off the mat a very long time.

Doesn't stop.....
Good for Forge. They should garner some regional, coastal attention.
Prayers that the Kibler boy stays healthy and able to wrestle. Tough wrestler when he is on the mat.

I thought Colonial Forge & Mountainview were both closed and were not allowing transfers due to compacity?

If you have an address in that zone you can transfer no matter the capacity.

If you "live in a residence" that is within the school attendance zone then you are a valid student... however you stated both of these students are zoned for other schools, meaning that they live outside the school zone.
