Not sure what weight but Corey Leonard will be back to make some noise at either 126 or 132. He was injured last year but finished 3rd at AAA 113 his freshman year.
**** Noted, adjusted, appreciated.**** Had a lot of great feeback on him. Will add him to the watch list. Thanks for the feedback

At HWT you have to remember Logan Turner is a two time all-american by placing 7th at NHSCA, and 6th at super 32, and more than likely would have won the state tourney this year. Having him ranked 6th in the state is ridiculous.

Good points, and precisely the kind of logic and supporting arguments I am looking for.

At 138 you forgot to put Matt Raines of Fauquier won Region II last year over Justice Jacobs, and would have placed at the state tourney but had an injury right before states.

You seem to be short on the 106 weight class. Here is a suggestion. Hunter Wright from Poquoson. He placed 4th at the state this year (AA), and placed 6th at Fargo. Brady Leffew placed 3rd (Private) he wouldn't be a bad one either.

Sean - I know this is a ton of work and greatly appreciated. Is it possible to add what group they wrestlers will now be in? For Example - Joshua Nail(6A) and so on. Again, appreciate all your work!
**** Noted, adjusted, appreciated.**** A great idea. I will include the classes.

Logan Turner pinned Tyler Fain at Virginia Duals(middle school). He pinned Alan Chappell twice in 2012 and Chappell beat Jordan Dowery at states in 2012. Turner took 3rd as a sophomore beating Chappell, Dowery took 5th.
**** Noted, adjusted, appreciated.**** Point taken. Great supporting arguments.

you have a nowbody from the piedmont in your rankings. there is a couple of young men from Bassett Chad Wiggington and Jacob Scott is 2 that will be there at the end of the year that should be ranked now in you preseason.
**** Noted, adjusted, appreciated.**** I appreciate your feedback. What would work well is if you supply me some facts on who they should supplant on the list or why they should be on the list of the top 10. For example, Wiggington should be ranked or listed at xxx lbs. because he finished xxxxxx at the state tournament or beat xxxxxxx head-to-head or finished xxxxxxx in the xxxxxxx national tournament.
Class, district, region, etc. is one of the last things I actually weight the rankings on.
I would be willing and open to have all Piedmont wrestlers on the list if there is data to support it.

Jarad took 5th in the same region n did not qualify for states. Curtis lost to Eric merium 3 to 1 in the state tourny.

Caleb Repko at heavyweight? Beat Tyler Fain 4 times last year, pinned Helm, beat Powell but lost to him in the state tourney and took fifth. Underachieved but not ranked?

Logan Turner pinned Caleb Repko at Virginia Duals, but you could tell Repko was a high quality wrestler. Turner man handled Cody Vandeline at NHSCA. He would have tech falled him if he hadn't gotten the pin early in the second period. Turner should not be ranked under Helm. Turner and Pinkston both have wrestled successfully nationally. Since Turner has been out a year, it is reasonable for him to be ranked under Pinkston. Turner was rolling at Super 32 before getting injured in the quarter final against Boyd. He kept wrestling because no one was aware that he had gotten a serious concussion, we thought he just got his bell rung. He pinned Boyd shortly after the injury, but he lost out after that finishing 6th.

Yes, helm got beat by a lot of wrestlers early in the season. As the season went on he improved tremendously. He pinned a lot of kids who beat him in the bringing of the year. He pinned everyone in the districts and regionals. He then just barely lost to pinkston in the finals by 1 point. Repko got beat by Mathias whom Helm PINNED. Turner never wrestled Helm. Turner did not go to states. AWESOME JOB by Matoaca’s wrestling Coaches to have a 9th grader improve that much in a short period of time. To have him ready to go toe to toe with the best hwt in the state Pinkston and losing to him 5-4. Who knows what would happen to him and pinkston now.
Yes he got pinned early a lot when the season first started, but by end of the year, He was second best in the state. He finished 2nd in AAA while Repko placed 5th. What and improvement.

I still think Repko should be ranked. He had a bad state tournament. Helm did a great job and it will be interesting to see how this year goes. Turner has been a consistently good wrestler against excellent competition. I am not taking anything away from anyone else. It is good to see high quality competition at 285.
