Right now I would have to say Devin Carter. He has consistently improved every year. R12 as a freshman, AA 5th as a sophomore and last year making the finals after coming back from a potential season ending injury. He gets my vote hands down.

So who is in the mix right now?
Dance (VT), Carter (VT) seem like the first two to surface.
Epperly (VT), Jeske (ODU), Christian Olanowski (MSU), and Gustafson (VT), Mason (UVA) could make a dent this coming year. Who am I missing?

I think Jack Bass will be a freshman at Minnesota this year but he could be redshirted. Duke Pickett is also at Cornell. I think Epperly has a lot of upside and could do very well this year.

You are right, Pickett is another one to watch. He is on a talented Cornell team and practicing with the likes of Gabe Dean, Dylan Palacio, and Jace Bennett. I think this could be a bust out year for him.

Does anyone know if Dane Harlow plans to transfer, since BU dropped their program, or will he just finish his education there? He showed a lot of promise and has a ton of talent.

You mentioned some strong contenders this year that will make noise as they have already (Dance, Carter at the top) Epperly is making noise this year looks great #3 ranking. Brandon Jeske and Michael Hayes in the ODU starting lineup not sure whats in store when we get to tournament time. I believe Gustafson redshirted this year. Not sure about David Reck. Jack Bass I believe redshirted as well (two studs in front of him at 157). I know Jacob Crawford is in the UNC lineup and hope he can make some noise this year.

Epperly is wrestling well, but his qualifier alone will be tough with Butler and Wilps. It will also be interesting to see how he does not that opponents have gotten a good look at him. I still see him in RD12 and possibly making the podium but that is a stacked weight and everyone is close so seeding will play a big part.
Gustafson and Bass are redshirting this year. Gustafson is having a great redshirt year and I expect big things from him.
Jeske is very talented but has struggled for consistency. He could be struggling to manage his weight, but I'm not sure.
Dance and Carter will place and most likely pretty high.

I think Dance is the best. Carter is excellent no doubt, but I think Dance will finish higher this year. It helps when you do not have Stieber waiting for you down the road.

That's a tough call. Carter has Stieber but he and Port are even and can go either way. Dance, while very talented has Garrett, Delgado, and Waters ahead of him and he has not beaten any of them to date. Gilman took him to OT at the Midlands and Tomasello took him to the wire as well. Gilman is the least talked about of the group, but I feel he's most dangerous at this point in the season. He's hitting his stride and seems to be getting better with each match. Delgado is most vulnerable as he's been out most of the year.

Probably has to be Carter.

Hard to argue with Dance or Carter. Dance has three more tries to win a national championship. And what Carter did last year at the ACC Tournament and Nationals after that terrible injury is remarkable.
