Ever see so much animosity between two teams? Is it me or is there an unusual amount of anger? What is the history?

Benedictine is a rather boorish and envious lot. So they are constantly looking for ways to make themselves feel better.

Not sure that I agree with that, you must be ant-Benedictine. Two private schools in the same general area, competing for bragging rights - it is always going to be a fierce rivalry, and that is a good thing. It makes it fun for HS wrestling as a whole.

Yes, I've seen animosity of this nature before. PA and NJ are basically built on it. The state thrives on it. Town vs Town, East vs West, District vs District all for bragging rights. That is why they can get 1500 - 2000 people for a televised high school dual meet. in NJ before Blair became a national player, Pburg was the evil empire. Everyone dreaded going to their place, affectionately called "The Pit", because they were hostile to everyone. Their student section alone would have 500 kids with painted faces right on top of you. The noise was deafening and you could not hear yourself think.
