Is it me, or does this kid have some issues? Self-control? Emotional? Autism? What is the deal with that kid?
**** Noted, adjusted, appreciated.****
I agree with Slideby and did remove the wrestler's name from this post. The site should be largely uncensored and open to all discussion, but the situation may best be served by letting people find out the name of the wrestler in question for themselves.
As a side note, I did not see him wrestling at a recent event. So he may no longer even be on the team.
Thank you, Admin

I don't think it's right call him out or speculate. Some kids handle competition and adversity different than others.

I have seen the kid Killerdinaling is talking about. What Slideby said about speculating and how kids handle competition simply does not apply here. We watched a match where he was given 2 unsportsmanlike penalties, one for throwing a punch, and was warned that the next one would end the match. He repeatedly talked trash on the mat and actually got in the other wrestler's face while bumping him. Nothing about it was speculation, nor did it have a place in wrestling.
I was told recently he attempted a Muay Thai kick on a young man from Colonial Forge. I am a little shocked the Stafford program would field someone who behaves like that.

I have always said the Stafford coaches are very good coaches and After what I saw when "NO NAMES NEEDED" did the out rages things he did and the coaches didn't do anything at that time about it and let him come back in the wrestling room - sorry I have lost respect for that program and there is no way I would let my kid be part of the that program. I guess Colonial forge got the better end of that deal with the swap that occured

The Stafford coaches are 'class' acts! They inherited said athlete and no fault of their own - I'm certain (behind closed doors) in the short time that they have had to help him they have strived to provide him with the coaching/mentoring and direction to help him with his - I'm guesing anger management issues... Andy Reid never gave up on Michael Vick, and if it weren't for Al Davis the Raiders would never have taken on one troubled 'professional' athlete after another... Maybe professional help is what he really needs to turn his would be problems around - suspect that the public bashing by adults in the area isn't going to help him or anyone... No need to bash his coaches and their program...

I think the wrestler's behavior opens him up to criticism. We are not talking about a little kid, he his probably every bit of 17 and should be able to exhibit discipline, respect, and self-control on the mat, if not, he doesn't belong on it. Throwing punches, kicks, and God knows what else is beyond not shaking hands or pushing out-of-bounds. To make excuses for him is ridiculous, and only adds to the problem. What he did was dangerous and actually tarnishes the sport.

Slick, couldn't agree more, and anyone defending any coaches on what happen you are wrong, I'm a coach and something should of been done the first time. What happened if he landed that knee? Everyone, saw this coming!!! It starts at home, then it's the responsability of the coaches. I'm scared what is going to happen after these two out of controll young men get out of high school. Now that is scary!!!! and SAD!!!!

No excuses provided. Athlete should be held accountable and responsible for his actions... Conceding 'sad/scary' concerns for such out of control behavior after HS actually reinforces the fact that professional help is needed now to prevent that from happening... We only differ in that I am more hesitate to pass judgement upon coaches who have worked hard to build favorable reputations for themselves and their program in this region over the past five years... just because of "1 out of control" kid who they have simply tried to help... Unless you have first hand knowledge of the behind the scenes coach-athlete conversations and associated disciplinary actions - passing judgement upon these stand-up coaches based upon your seemingly 20/20 hindsight seems a tad critical... Is it possible that differences in coaching styles is likely the root of your issue... If everyone saw this coming are the coaches from his former team to blame as well?

Agree with CW fan - athlete should be responsible and accountable for his actions... Does seem a bit extreme to lash out at his coaches and their program... Different coaches/leaders typically have different approaches in how they conduct their public/private leadership...
